David can offer guitar workshops, either as a stand-alone session or tied in with a concert.

Workshops can be tailored but a general session will look at instrumental playing ideas (including making music with other people) alongside more detailed techniques and thoughts on guitar playing. It will focus on adding variety to accompaniments (particularly how simple chord shapes can open up the fret-board) and tune playing using traditional music as the base.

David trained as a luthier so there can be some talk about how the instruments are made as well as played through the workshop.

Open to all to come along but, for joining in with the playing side, it is recommended that you have a basic knowledge of your instrument and an average ability e.g. simple open chord shapes knowledge and able to play a tune.
