David Mitchell & Rupert Kirby will be performing their ceilidh/folk dance tune sets for dancers at this friendly club which has been going for over 40 years. Beginners and/or new people are always made to feel very welcome so please do come along whether you are experienced or not! Chard Folk Dance Club meet at Combe St Nicholas Village Hall (near Chard in Somerset) on alternate Thursday evenings at 7.30pm. Doors open from around 7pm and there's a break in the middle for a cuppa and the raffle plus any notices etc. Bringing your own refreshments is fine too. There is always a live band and a good selection of callers throughout the year. It is a friendly group and the emphasis is on enjoyment alongside dancing and is the best club we've found with this approach!
